Scam robocalls jump 24% in June, per YouMail data

TransNexus’s monthly read of YouMail’s Robocall Index shows overall robocalls up 3.4% month-on-month in June 2026 — a six-month high — though still down 4.6% against June 2025. The number to watch is scam volume: scam robocalls rose 24.1% from May, the second sharp monthly jump in a row after a 15.1% increase from April, and up 63% year-on-year. Scam calls as a share of all robocalls climbed from 20% to 24%, back to where it sat in January.

This is one of the recurring vendor series that make the trust-data corpus worth keeping. The scam-share rebound is the figure to hold against the industry’s STIR/SHAKEN and branded-calling adoption claims: overall volume flat-to-declining while scam volume climbs is exactly the divergence the authentication regime is supposed to be closing. Two consecutive months of double-digit scam growth is worth a mental bookmark for the next quarterly synthesis. (Source: YouMail Robocall Index, via TransNexus.)
